Turfway Park has been a part of our community for FIFTY YEARS and they are celebrating in style today (Saturday 10/3) with other local traditions in their 50+ “age bracket”:
In addition to these tasty treats, Ron Turcotte, the jockey who rode Secretariat to Triple Crown glory, will be there to sign autographs, see Turfways’s site for details. All proceeds from the autograph session benefit the Secretariat Foundation. Live Racing takes place 12:30 -5pm.
Then on Sunday, celebrate Kenton County Day at Turfway. Bring the family for games, prizes, and fun plus deals from local businesses and shops, and live racing. 12:30 – 5pm, trackside.
This is the last weekend for live racing at Turfway. Our family was there last night and P loved the horses, loved counting them as the headed to work (hello EDUCATIONAL!) and we had a great time. We’re hoping to head back today for the 50 year celebrating – Skyline and Graeters side by side – that is an Exacta I can easily pick!
