Does your family love to read? Do you have young children who love to explore the world of literature? Then you must check out this fabulous FREE event at the Mary Ann Mongan branch of the Kenton County Library in Covington this Saturday, November 21 from 12:30 – 4:00 pm. The Northern Kentucky Early Childhood Literacy Fair is targeted to children under the age of 6 with their family. There will be giveaways, free books for the first 400 children, fun activities, concerts and more!
There will be concerts by Zak Morgan (12:30 pm) and Thaddeus Rex (3:30 pm) along with face painting, and balloon animals! Be sure to check this out!
If you cannot make it on Saturday be sure to check out your local library’s storytimes for young children. My children have been going to storytimes at the Covington Library for 6 years now, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experiences there. We have made friends, learned new things, been introduced to countless books that my children have fallen in love with, and had a grand time at each and every storytime we have attended. Ms. Amy Schardein reads to the children and brings the stories to life for them. She also leads them in song and dance and encourages them to participate and interact. It’s just a fabulous experience all around, and I suggest you visit sometime!
