Cancer Family Care is a wonderful nonprofit agency that helps families coping with cancer. CFC started in 1971 and they have been a beacon of support for families impacted by cancer in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. “For nearly 40 years, we have provided therapeutic counseling, education, support, and hope to all people touched by cancer” (from CFC website).
One upcoming event that they have is their annual day camp called Camp Courage , “Having the Strength of a Superhero”. This is a free event takes place on June 5th for kids ages 5-12 years who have cancer or have been impacted by cancer (maybe a parent or sibling has cancer). This year the camp takes place at the Cincinnati Nature Center at Rowe Woods from 9am-4pm. This will be a fun filled day for the campers with many great activities planned. Even though the camp is free, the deadline for registration is coming soon. Please RSVP by May 28 to Rachel McCoy at (513) 731-3346 ext. 113 or email at [email protected].
