Dragonfly Foundation Benefit Concert with Rachel Sage & Ticket Giveaway! (Closed)

I’ve written about the Dragonfly Foundation before (see post on 1/18/11). I love that friends and local Mason Moms’ Ria Davidson and Christine Neitzke started the foundation to help kids with cancer and blood disorders at Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  Christine’s son, Matt, was diagnosed with Stage 3A Hodgkin’s Lymphoma a little over a year ago and his family has rallied to support him and others coping with cancer.  Matt is now in remission but he has to return for scans every three months (his most recent scan was clean – hooray). The Dragonfly Foundation is new and has only been underway since August 2010, but they have done so much in such a short period of time that it really shows that someone can make a difference with hard work, commitment, and a genuine passion and love for kids.

One artist who is supporting the Dragonfly Foundation is singer/songwriter Rachel Sage and she is coming to Cincinnati to perform some benefit concerts.  She not only has given the rights of her song “Child” to the DF but she will also perform a private concert at Children’s Hospital for patients, staff and families and two public concerts to raise money for the Dragonfly Foundation.

Concert #1: The Redmoor in Mt. Lookout – April 4th at 6:00 p.m.  (Concert starts at 7 p.m.). Cost: $30 per ticket
Includes delicious hors d’oeuvres/desserts (light fare), FREE valet parking and cash bar Tickets can be purchased online.
Concert #2: Uncle Woody’s Pub in Clifton- April 5th at 7 p.m. Cost: $5 Donation at the door

Rachel will be joined by two up and coming young artists, 16-year old Ashley McDonough  and 18-year old Amanda Matson. They will performing songs that they have written and are close to their hearts.  Ashley has been under the care of  Children’s Hospital for fourteen years while getting treatment for a Combined Variable Immune Disorder and Amanda penned here song to support her best friend who has cancer.
