Man, you can really tell that fall is on it’s way. The weather is starting to feel brisk, sweaters are being drug out and we cannot lie….. It is our FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR! Like just about every weekend in Cincinnati (we are all so lucky), there is a TON of fun to be had. Enjoy the time with your families!

The Durr Branch of the Kenton County Public Library is hosting a Chicken Rodeo and Wedding. Have fun as they attempt to re-enact the famous “Chicken Wedding” as performed on Cincinnati’s Paul Dixon Show over 40 years ago. This Saturday, Sept 22, 11 am. Register at www.kentonlibrary.org/events
Family Saturdays continue Saturday at the Contemporary Arts Center with Feel the Beet! Featured artist Trinidad Mac-Auliffe will lead the families in creating art by using raw foods as the primary material, most namely beets!
Entertrainment Junction’s Jack O’Lantern Junction opens for the fall season on Saturday, running through Oct. 31! Walk-thru a trick or treat maze and see kid friendly ghosts, skeletons and more. Stop and color, or see Halloweenville , a miniature animated display. Plus come and enjoy an Pumpkin Patch, where kids get a free mini pumpkin and two outdoor kid’s train rides themed for the Halloween season.
Head to blue manatee children’s bookstore and decafe Saturday at 11:30 to meet illustrator Will Hillenbrand and get a signed copy of “Bear in Love” Free to attend.
Celebrate the coming of fall with Apple Daze Saturday and Sunday at Hidden Valley Fruit Farm. There will be apple goodness of all kinds – Apple cider, pumpkins, corn maze, music, arts and crafts booths, and food. This event is free and so is the parking.
Head out to the Heritage Village Museum Saturday for it’s Fall Harvest Festival in Sharonville! Paint pumpkins, drink cider, play old fashioned games and more!
Kids grades 6 and up can learn to crochet and make a scarf, have fun doing open crafting, or learn basic quilting Saturday at the Kenton County Library Durr Branch. www.kentonlibrary.org
Head to Sawyer Point Saturday for the 4th annual Bluegrass for Babies charitable concert from 4-9:30pm.
