It’s a long weekend…time to celebrate our INDEPENDENCE and celebrate SUMMER! Hopefully our readers will be able to take some time off this weekend to enjoy all of the fun happenings around town. There’s a little bit of everything going on during this long weekend…from 4th of July celebrations to crafts to festivals to Princess cruises and the list goes on. I for one, cannot wait for the weekend fun to begin! Even though the forecast is calling for rain, rain and more rain, in between the showers we should be able to get out and have some fun! That being said, due to the weather forecast you might want to double check to make sure an event is going on if it is raining!

Fireworks at Great American Ball Park ~ 15 minutes after the end of the Reds vs. Giants game there will be a fireworks display. Game starts at 7:10p. If you aren’t going to the game you could always watch the fireworks from the lovely Smale Park or from Riverside Drive in Covington.
Florence Independence Day Celebration ~ 5-11pm on Weds (rain date Thursday at 7). Patriotic Tributes, rides, food, classic cars, music and of course…FIREWORKS! Fun for the whole family. The City of Florence website has all the details.
Larosa’s Balloon Glow at Coney Island ~ a perfect way to kick off the holiday weekend, with hot air balloons glowing in the night & a Rozzi fireworks display. For more information see the Coney Island website.
Fountain Square ~ After the Wednesday Reggae show at 10pm there will be a Rozzi Fireworks display. So head down fo the music and stay for the fireworks show! More details on the Fountain Square website.
Fairfield: Red, White & KABOOM ~ There will be music, food & fun activities at three different locations in Fairfield, and from all three spots you can watch the Rozzi fireworks at 10pm. Check out their website for more details.

Ault Park Independence Day Celebration ~ The festivities start at 11 am with a Children’s parade & contest and finish up with fireworks at 10pm. You can also catch the Modulaters at 8pm and grab a bite to eat while you are there.
The City of Fort Mitchell will have their annual 4th of July Parade starting at 12:30pm at the Children’s Home on Orphanage Road and ending at Beechwood School.
Sisters of Notre Dame 4th of July Festival July 4th 1601 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, KY Fun filled family event that features carnival games, fabulous silent auction, petting zoo & pony rides, great food and lively entertainment.
