If you are looking for a family friendly place to dine in Covington that offers down home cooking in a casual environment then look no further than Old Town Cafe on Pike Street. Old Town Cafe has been a popular Covington establishment for years and years and has everyone coming back for more because of their consistently delicious comfort food offerings.
Old Town Cafe:
Frank’s Old Town Cafe is a family owned restaurant that is quite simply a throwback to an old school diner where the food hits the spot, the prices are right, the portions are generous and everyone is greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. Seriously, every single customer that walks in is greeted like an old friend, and the service makes you feel like part of their family. While Frank mans the grill his wife and daughter and other important employees run the show in the dining room and behind the counter. Want to talk sports while Frank makes your burger? It sure makes the wait go faster if you are carrying out!
Old Town Cafe offers breakfast & lunch for dining in or carrying out (closed on Sundays). The atmosphere is very laid back, with no frills and no fuss. Seat yourself and then pore over the many choices on the menu…but don’t forget the specials board! Each day offers a different special of the day, from Meatloaf to Baked Chicken to Fish Sandwiches on Fridays, there’s something for everyone. I’m a big fan of their burger and fries, while my youngest prefers to nosh on sides like pickles, fruit and french fries. He’s only six but he’s become good friends with the owners and has them wrapped around his finger when it comes to extra pickles. Whatever you are in the mood for I’m sure you can find it at Old Town Cafe. Sandwiches, burgers, salads, soup…and the list goes on. Serious home cookin’.
Old Town Cafe is located at 9 West Pike Street in Covington. Follow the Old Town Cafe Facebook page to find out about their weekly menu items.
