Fall-O-Ween at Coney Island is back this weekend (Oct 8 & 9), kicking off its three weekend run, and featuring plenty of activities for kids, parents and grandparents to share together, including the popular trick or treat trail, sing-along hayrides, a hay maze, pumpkin launching into Lake Como, live Halloween stage entertainment, a petting zoo, pony rides, mini-golf, Coney’s two dozen classic rides and more.
This year Moonlite Pavilion will be a hub of activity with everything from Apple Pie School, where moms can teach their children the art of pie making, to watching Fright Lights,” a dazzling, choreographed light and music show featuring thousands of stunning multi-colored lights (including blinking pumpkins and tombstones) flashing to the beat of Halloween music.
On-going live stage entertainment includes “Jeepers Creepers,” an original Halloween-themed children’s show numerous times a day in Lakeside Pavilion, plus, in Moonlite Gazebo, there is a Halloween magic show with fun tricks for kids and adults alike.
Fall-O-Ween kicks off with a Kids Free promotion, where up to two kids are free with each full price adult admission ($11) opening weekend only. Fall-O-Ween admission is $11 (age 2 & up). Parking is $5.00 per vehicle. Discount admission tickets are available at participating Kroger stores. Hours are 1 p.m.-7 p.m. each day. Coney Island is at 6201 Kellogg Ave., exit 72 off I-275.
