The Urban Trials returns to the Queen City in 2017! The Urban Trials is a 5K fun-run with physical obstacles and mental challenges in an urban, family-friendly environment. This year’s event will be held at Sawyer Point on Saturday, August 5th! Early Bird Registrations are ON SALE NOW. Whether you are a serious solo competitor, casual runner, work better in teams, or just want a fun day out with the family, this is for you.
“The Urban Trials is taking the typical 5K to the next level with an app that participants have the option of using while they take on obstacles configured with brain-teaser mental challenges,” said Daryn Hillhouse. “The goal of the event is to provide a great entertainment experience for everyone – regardless of their age or fitness level – that engages both brain and body.”
The Urban Trials has it all: 15x entry-level obstacles, and awesome mental challenges, infused with technology. This is the first event to be powered by a smartphone app, which participants will use to look for codes, search for clues, test their memory and solve puzzles, all while getting some healthy outdoor exercise! You score points for correct answers and quickest times, and the app will track your progress against every runner in your city… and the country!
