I have vivid memories of watching the Harlem Globetrotters on television as a kid. They would have TV specials from time to time – I distinctly remember Goldie Hawn was involved with one of them – we’d crowd around the set and giggle with delight. Dare I dream to some day be the cute little kid court side? Dare I do! It may be a few decades late for me, but the Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Cincinnati on Friday!
The Globetrotters are debuting their Rookie Class for the first time in Cincinnati with two shows on 12/30 at US Bank Arena (2pm and 7pm).
The newbies include the introduction of the first female player since 1993 (LOVE THAT!), the shortest player in Trotter history (only 5′ 2″ – my bball dreams are still alive!), a slam-dunk superstar from our very own UC and a dude that is 7′ 8″! Talk about a neck cramp chatting him up,eh?
I can’t think of a better way to wrap up a year of family fun of Cincinnati than with tickets to this show. Tickets are available online – just visit the website for links.
I really am terribly excited about this show. I feel like a kid again! And how lovely is it to share something from our childhood that is still top-notch entertainment with our kids. I just know Parker is going to have a blast.
Special thanks to the Harlem Globetrotters – they provided a family four pack to each of our Experience Cincinnati winners as well as tickets for my crew.
