4 Unique Family Adventures to try in Cincinnati
If you are staying in town for spring break, there are can still some incredible adventures that you can have with your family without traveling far. All of these adventures have been tested by my family and I can fully give you my vote of confidence that they are a great time and guaranteed memories.
1. Trapeze
The experience of trying the trapeze is such an amazing opportunity to live our your circus dreams. You have a harness so that you can feel extremely safe while you fly and fall to the safety net. I first tried the trapeze with a group of friends and then I came back with my family because it was so fun! This is something that a majority of ages can enjoy. My younger son was 4 years old when he tried it and he loved it.
You can learn more about trapeze classes from the Cincinnati Circus Company website.
2. Family Circus Class
If heights are not your thing, you can take advantage of a family circus class. We joined several of our friends with kids and had a blast learning different circus skills. We had a broad range of ages from toddlers to teens to grandparents in the group and all of us were able to enjoy multiple activities.
There is an upcoming kids circus camp going on from April 1-5 during spring break.
- Half Days: 10am- 12pm $120
- Full Days: 10am- 2pm $220
You can learn more about family circus classes from the Cincinnati Circus Company website.
3. Extreme Tree Climbing
You can live out your childhood dreams of climbing to the top with out the fear of falling. You are harnessed in and can go at your own pace. As a mom, it was great to finally tell my kids that they could climb as high as they wanted. There are different locations and levels of trees to climb. Our family climb was on the “starter” tree. I can assure you that the “starter” tree looks very different once you are in the tree but it is worth the climb.
You can find out more about Earth Joy Tree Adventures from their website. Tree climbs range from $40-$60 for 1.5-2 hrs.
You can also take advantage of an Adventure mom discount until April 30th.
Use the discount code ADVENTUREMOM15 for 15% off your climb.
*discount code does not apply on top of group discounts
4. Indoor Trampoline Arena
How many times have you been concerned about your kids falling off of a backyard trampoline? The indoor trampoline arena takes away those fears and also gives you and your kids the opportunity to literally bounce off the walls! Parents don’t just spectate on this one. I promise you will love it! There are also dodgeball sessions which takes the fun to another level.
Jump Pricing

$14 – 60 min jump session
***On Tues & Thurs purchase a one hour trampoline pass and get a free Laser tag mission afterward.
You can find out more about Lazer Kraze from their website.
Sometimes it’s worth the financial investment to step out of your comfort zone and try something new together as a family.
The financial investment is worth it when you look at it as investing in creating memories with your family that will last a lifetime.
Sometimes you just need to think of some creative financing.
You could designate money that you would have been spent on birthdays, mother’s day/ father’s gifts, a few nights of eating out toward an adventure together instead. Also, be on the lookout for deals on sites like groupon, cincysavers, deal chicken and living social. Why pay more if you don’t have to?
A family that plays together- stays together!
