It’s summer camp season and we’re particular excited to share about the upcoming summer camp at The Carnegie in Covington. This summer they will be hosting Camp Carnegie: Pass It On theatre workshops for children ages 7 to 15. Several of the writers at FFC have sent their children to these camps and we all love them.
Camp Carnegie: Pass It On theatre workshops will have children explore and witness how one person’s mood can affect the moods of others, for better or worse. Imagine if a perfect stranger gave you a flower. How might you treat the next person you see? How might that act of kindness spread?
Over the course of the six-day workshop, children will explore the world of theatre through hands-on art making, character and costume design, dramatic exercises, script writing, problem solving and more. All Camp Carnegie: Pass It On theatre workshops will include a live performance on stage in the Otto M. Budig Theatre for friends and family.
Eight, six-day Camp Carnegie: Pass It On workshops will be offered throughout June and July:
1. Session 1: June 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 | Times: 1:00 to 5:00pm
2. Session 2: June 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 | Times: 8:30 to 12:30pm
3. Session 3: June 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 | Times: 1:00 to 5:00pm
4. Session 4: June 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 | Times: 8:30 to 12:30pm
5. Session 5: July 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 | Times: 1:00 to 5:00pm
6. Session 6: July 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 | Times: 8:30 to 12:30pm
7. Session 7: July 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30| Times: 1:00 to 5:00pm
8. Session 8: July 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 & Aug. 1 | Times: 8:30 to 12:30pm
