We are huge fans of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and love their kid friendly offerings as it’s a chance to get our kids listening to and enjoying music and experiences they might otherwise dismiss thinking it’s “boring”.  My family and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them take on all of the magic of outer space during ‘The Final Frontier’ last year.

This year, instead of traveling through space, we’ll be traveling through the world of magic and fantasy as John Morris Russell conducts his Pops Orchestra through the music of Disney’s Fantasia!  Here’s a little about the concert from the Cincinnati Pops:

Experience the timeless music of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, “The Nutcracker Suimickeybroomte”, “Rhapsody in Blue” and more—combined with the animated magic of Disney, in a true spectacle of sight and sound. Stunning footage from Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 will be displayed in high definition above the stage, while your Cincinnati Pops performs some of the most spectacular music ever written.

As major Disney fans, I am not kidding when I tell you we are all looking forward to this in a big way!  Fantasia: Live in Concert will only be performed for three shows — Friday, Sept. 5 at 8 PM; Saturday, Sept. 6 at 8 PM; and Sunday, Sept. 7 at 2 PM so plan ahead and grab your tickets right away.

    My 13 year old niece just told me that she wants to see this. She has never been to Music Hall, and she has never heard the Cincinnati Pops play anywhere except Lumenocity last year. She is an avid supporters of Union Terminal and Music Hall. I would really like to take her to this event.
