One of the easiest ways to tell that the holidays are here are from the lights that now decorate homes, businesses, and streets around town. In addition to some of the fantastic displays people put on their houses, there are some pretty awesome light displays around the area. Whether you’re up for walking around in the winter air, or would rather load the kids up in the car and drive around in the warmth, there’s a light display for you. We rounded up a few of our favorites throughout the city.
Holiday in Lights – This drive-through light display winds one mile through Sharon Woods – and is a holiday tradition for our family. Grab some blankets and hot chocolate and turn up the holiday music as you drive through the woods.
PNC Festival of Lights – Each year The Cincinnati Zoo transforms into a winter wonderland with lights all around. The much loved holiday event features a Fairyland, Candy Cane Forest, Wild Light Show on Swan Lake, train rides, and so much more.
Light up the Levee -Plan a family night down at Newport on the Levee to end as it gets dark out. Their synchronized lights dance to some of your favorite holiday music.
Holiday Lights on the Hill – A two-mile drive through more than a million twinkling lights at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum. They even have special theme nights including donation nights for free admission, and a letters for Santa night.
Light Up Middletown – Take a tour through a 100 acre park and enter a through a tunnel of lights into a sparkling fantasyland.
Niederman Family Farms Christmas Display – Dress warm for this walking display! Explore the lights, visit with farm animals, and enjoy live music from local groups.
The Gift of Lights at The Christmas Ranch – Another walking display with a Christmas Village full of shops and approximately 1 million lights synchronized to holiday music. Kids will love the animated toy factory and the forest of animated Christmas trees.
