We love all the events at Bonnybrook Farms, and we couldn’t be more excited for this year’s first annual County Fair on Saturday, June 18. They’re inviting everyone to kick off the summer with a Yee Haw with bands, a bike race, BBQ and Brew!
The morning starts off at 8am with the Twisted Twig Mountain Bike Race/Ride through 370 acres of farmland, backroads, hills, and wooded areas. The trails will challenge all levels of riders and is a great place to experience the fun and excitement of mountain bike riding. There’s a course or a class for all ages levels, so the little ones won’t be challenged too much:
- Beginner – recreational riders and those new to racing
- Kids: Classes for ages 6-8 & 9-11 | $20 | Approximately 2 miles, Twigs & Berries Course
- Junior: Classes for ages 11-15 | $25 | 2 laps, approximately 4 miles, Twigs & Berries Course
- Adult: Classes for ages 15-29, 30-49, 50 & over | $30 | Approximately 5 miles, Hills & Hollers Course
- Sport Women’s Class: You’ve raced before, or ride hard when you ride
- Classes for ages 15-29, 30-49, 50 & over | $30 | 2 laps, approximately 10 miles, Hills & Hollers Course
- Sport Men’s Class: You’ve raced before, or ride hard when you ride
- Classes for ages 15-29, 30-49, 50 & over | $30 | 3 laps, approximately 15 miles, Hills & Hollers Course
If bike racing isn’t your thing, come a little later in the day for the rest of the festival. County Fair activities kick off at 11am, and there is plenty to see and do. There’s a farmyard play area, the Horseshoe Hills 80 foot underground tunnel & slide, a Can Pole Fishing Derby, petting barn, pony rides, archery, giant slingshots, ice cream eating contest, and clodhopper golf. Many activities are free, but bring cash for activity tickets.
American Idol contestant Alexis Gomez takes to the stage at noon for a performance. At 2:30 she’ll judge a singing contest for performers ages 5-18. There are only 10 spots available, so register today if your child is a born performer!
The Farm Kitchen will be serving smokin’ good BBQ and fun fair foods all day. Enjoy an ice cold beer, soft drink, or ice cream as you take in the day’s events.
90 Proof Twang will end the night with a performance from 6-9pm.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, and children under 4 are free. A portion of the proceeds will benefit River of Hope Ranch, a local non-profit offering equine-assisted mental health counseling to children, teens, and adults.
