For as long as anyone can remember a great debate has been happening in Greater Cincinnati over who makes the best “Cincinnati Style” chili. There are contenders on both sides of the river…some are restaurants with many locations, and others are small mom and pop establishments. Each contender in the great chili debate has their own top secret recipe and the support of fans who adore their chili. I find it fun to try the different coneys and chili-spaghetti dishes in our area. Recently the kids and I visited Covington Chili on Madison Avenue in Covington and we tried their cheese coneys, and I have to say they were very very tasty. The kids gobbled theirs up and asked for seconds. And the prices at Covington Chili were pretty awesome too!
Covington Chili is an old school diner, with booths and a bar and they even have a juke box. It’s like going back in time when you dine at Covington Chili…and not just because of the cheap prices. The service is also super friendly and quick. We went to Covington Chili for the first time on a day when I was in a super rush trying to get the kids from one activity to the next without anyone being late. We were able to grab lunch at Covington Chili and still make it to our next stop in less than 30 minutes!
